comparison
Mise vs MarketMan
Both are procurement and inventory systems for food service. The clearest published difference is the entry price: MarketMan's cheapest listed plan costs more per month than Mise's middle tier.
I have used all of these in real kitchens. Not demos. Not YouTube walkthroughs. Actual service days with actual cooks who have better things to do than learn new software.
MarketMan — closer, but heavy. The sous chef said it takes longer to log a delivery in the app than to check boxes by hand. He was right.
I am biased. I built Mise. But I also used the alternatives for years. That is why I built it.

Choose MarketMan if
- You need a long list of named POS and accounting integrations on day one.
- You want a vendor with a large existing install base and a formal onboarding programme.
- Your buying process requires a supplier with a longer trading history than ours.
MarketMan is purpose-built for restaurants. Good product. But if you just need orders to flow from kitchen to supplier, it is more than you need. The onboarding alone takes longer than most small kitchen teams have patience for.
Best for multi-unit operations that already have systems in place.
